Father’s Day 02 KDX 220

Hey guys, new to the forum here but not to KDX’s. I grew up around these things as my father and uncle always had a KDX around. Long story short, my dad has had a rough 7 years and I wanted to get him something to distract him a bit and give us an activity to spend time together again. I found a mint 2002 KDX 220R that had been used as a pit bike and then got put away in 2005. It still had the original grips and only had 98 miles! Luckily the previous owner had already swapped the piston out. I found a KDX 200 carb and plan to do the head and a desert pipe as soon as I can located one. Either way, here is the bike, watching him start it for the first time and ride it was already worth it!

Awesome story, and nice find on the bike. Mine looked that clean once...in 2001 right before I loaded it on the trailer at the dealer. lol
