introducing myself

Post by KDX4501982 »

Hi
my name is Stefano and i live in Italy. I'm the lucky owner of a KDX 450 1982, and i think i'm in the right place to share my passion for these beautiful bikes. I suppose my KDX is almost onique in my country, and , when i ride it , a lot of people look at with curiosity. Thaks a lot for admitting me in your fabolous group

I think it's the only one... Those days japanese offroad bikes were rare in Italy, moreover Kawasakis. The importation of japanese bikes was limited those days, and bikes under 380 cc weren't allowed, so japanese manufacturer preferred selling maxi road bikes, more expensive and much more earning producers..... First off road Kawy i saw was a KX 420 ,sold by an italian importer in some dozens of examples. The 81 KDX 420 was also on sale, but i've never seen one on the road. Som examples have to have been sold anyway, since today there's one for sale on some sites in Abruzzo,an italian county, and it seems has always been an italian bike.... One Kawy collector says to have a 450, but he really got a KX 420 where he install a 450 engine some times. But the 450 like mine, with papers too...no chance!!!! I'd wish posting some pics of my bike, could you teach me how to do ? Thanks again to accept me

Welcome to the forum, and congrats on finding a piece of KDX history. Those old air cooled big bore 2 strokes were a lot of fun.
