Good morning all,
Thanks for the acceptance!
I recently bought a KDX 220R , think it is a 97/98 model.
My first Kawasaki.
Tracing the VIN ,it's a 97.Is there a difference between the U.S. and Africa models?
The previous owner did absolutely no maintenance.
His words, ' Its a 2stroke... you just fill it up and ride...'
So...I have a total rebuild on my hands... LOL!
Will forward some photos...at some point
Looking forward the the build
I will be asking advice... so please pardon stupid questions
Thanks again for letting me join
Best regards
Jean

Welcome to kdxrider.net. Yes, the USA model and yours should be different somewhat. If you can post a VIN or frame number and engine number, I can usually narrow it down to which model it is.
Thank you for participating on kdxrider.net.

Welcome to the forum! Always cool to see the world come together over a single model of motorcycle. I will be interested to see photos of the terrain you ride in Namibia!

Re: Greetings from Namibia
Welcome to the forum. I watched a tv show called “the grand tour” where some guys traveled around Namibia. It’s an astonishing place. Good luck with your new bike, it’s a labor of love. A lot of us are in USA
