Jump ball:
I have a stock 2003 KDX200 that needs a new headlight and the plastic in which it is mounted. The UFO replacement indicates that it has a 60/55 watt headlamp and the stock lamp is a 30. Has anyone used this UFO replacement with success, using the stock lighting coil?
Thanks.
UFO replacement headlight work with stock lighting coil?

Re: UFO replacement headlight work with stock lighting coil?
It will work, but will be a bit dim, especially at idle, since the stock system is only putting out around 45W. You can rewind your stator and get it up to closer to 75W, or buy an aftermarket one. Keep in mind if its a dual beam headlight the stock switch is only on/off, no hi/low capability (you need an aftermarket light switch for that.
