I think the aftermarket started making them in the early 90's, such as Answer A-Tac.

Here’s one. Not cheap but if you’ve ever had the bars ripped out of your hands hitting cross grain you’ll appreciate a steering stabilizer.

Not sure if this one might fit, but I have an extra. It’s off a klx250s. Inquire if interested since I no longer have that bike

I fixed the tweaked bars. It was the rubber bushings. I turned the clamp around and adjusted the bars so they were not so far back. I’m going to leave them stock until I rode a bit. I’m not going to invest much my first bike in 30 years just to find out I’m not into it. Also, could anyone please give me the phone number of the person who invented grip glue? I have a few unkind words for them. I just spent the last 2 hours taking off the grips on my KDX. Pliers, razor knife. It’s a mess. Tomorrow I’m breaking out the wire wheel. “I’m serious”

I bought grips and grip protectors as well as an old school crash bar. Bars so low it was really hard to get on. I know eventually I’m going to need higher bars or riser. As for steering stabilizer. After I ride a bit I will figure out what I need. I bought a KDX for the price and reliability. I’m not treating it like a fishing boat!

Yeah, sometimes getting grips off can be quite a hassle!

Have fun with the bike.

So...... when is he best time of year to sell a dirt bike?

I was really having a mid life crisis when I bought this. Lol. I’m back up and walking after getting my new hip. I feel great. I’ve decided I’m into shooting competitions and nit motorcycles.

Two questions... when is the best time of year to sell my KDX and what should I ask?

I don’t think I changing my min don this.

Early spring when it is getting warm AND hope for someone who still has his tax income refund money.

Look around in your local area to see what others are asking on pricing. Right now is a bad time to sell. Too cold for someone to ride his new bike and everyone is thinking about spending money on Christmas gifts.

Sorry you didn't want to get into riding.

rockymountain atv.com has all the KDX parts you can dream of, and good customer servcie and fast shipping, I run T6 in my tranny and bike runs great, no issues, I guess I do false shift to neutral every now and then, Tires I run the Tusk hybrid rear 110/100-18 and its pretty much a tusk stamped shinko cheater, its amazing and grippy, I can lug up and over anything, friends are amazed sometimes how good my grip is, Irun the front shinko 546 90w and Love the stability and grip
I also just installed LEctron carb and HOLY COW my bike grunts and is a Beast now, lots of performance improvement just from lectron

So it’s almost spring and I’m going to sell it. I only have time for one hobby and competition handgun shooting won!

Do you guys think $2000 is a reasonable price for this? It’s all original and hardly has a scratch on it. I was going to advertise it on Facebook market place. I live about 50 minutes north of Portland Oregon. Just past Vancouver wa.

Check your local area pricing.

I'd much rather spend $2,000 on yours than $5,500 on a 2020 KLX300R.

They are high in my area. Similar year bikes in decent shape asking $2500 to $2800. But not selling. I’m wanting to sell it not list it. Think I’ll ask $2000.

I also have a set of 2003 kx 250 forks and Triple clamps.

Ask more than what you want. If you ask $2,000, someone is going to show up and try to beat you down.

Good luck.
