New KDX owner.

Post by Hooters »

Hi.
Picked myself up a 91 KDX200 SR to follow my two boys around as they learn to ride.
Bike is very stock with the usual blemishes here and there.
Have replaced the swingarm and linkage bearings and some perished tubes for the autolube system. Have a new seat cover and rear tyre to fit.
The bike starts well and is easy to ride as is but a few more ponies woild be nice. The exhaust is like new as the bike has mainly done road work so I may keep that in tact and try and find a decent second hand fmf or a half decent stock pipe to cut and gut. Also thinking about changing the PE carb to a pwk.
Looks like heaps of good info and advice here so I'm sure I'll get it sorted.
Sorry in advance for any stupid quetions.

Welcome to the forums and congrats on the bike purchase. Some of the best memories I have of my childhood are riding with my dad and brother, and I am lucky enough to still get to ride with him and now my sons as well. Enjoy!
