Excited to hear your results! Our next race is this Sunday, going to be mudfest 2016, nothing but rain last two weeks. Have you ran the Volcanduro? I have one on my kx500 hybrid and love it! Very similar to the Pirelli Garacross I run on the KDX. Holds corners through mud, snot, rocks, sand like a champ with a little loss on straight line traction vs. an MX tire. Good Luck!

Love the articles and how they are laid out in snippets.

Racing this weekend as well. Hoping to keep and or extend points lead in +45 Intermediate class [emoji51][emoji120]

Good luck sully! I'm not sure what it is, but smoking brand new 450's and KaTooM's on a KDX makes me all warm and tingley inside. Same feeling with the 500 hybrid running a motor that has a 25 year old bottom end :supz:

I've been running the Volcanduros for the past year or so and have been very happy with them, but I run a little different wheel set-up in the rear than most. I prefer the 1.85" rim with a 110/100/80 instead of the 2.15" rim because it turns better.

Thanks and while I am no longer the proud owner of a KDX, I am riding a YZ250 which by all accounts is 2006ish technology.

I do miss the KDX though [emoji57]. It was my son's, but he wanted to do MX so I sold it to buy a KTM125. Now he's out of MX back doing XC [emoji47]

It's a really solid off-road scene here. There are three primary series

TORN - http://www.tornracing.com

TCCRA - http://www.texascrosscountryracing.com

TORO - http://www.race-toro.org

TORN/TCCRA are March-Nov and TORO is Nov-Feb, so all year round racing if you were so inclined. Also a good enduro series here (TSCEC http://www.tscec.org) and two close, very good MX tracks (Village Creek and River Valley).

Finally a massive off-road area up near the border (http://www.redrivermotorcycletrails.com) and two others - Crooked Creek Cycle Park and Rocky Ridge.

With the exception of the TSCEC enduros, all of the above are races or areas no more that 90 minutes from DFW area.

Hit me up if the transfer happens and I would be happy to show you all of the above!
