Here's my new to me 1994 KDX250 that I recently picked up. She has full FMF exhaust, radiator braces, tuned suspension by TBT Racing (located in Oklahoma), and Acerbis handguards.
Bike came with quite a few extras including a new piston and gaskets, pipe guard (not pictured), FSM, and a handful of receipts. I'm the 3rd owner of the bike and she currently has about 4K on the odometer. The seller I purchased it from had bought it with the intention to ride with his son, but his wife decided to join the fun so he sold the bike to me so he could purchase a SxS. He told me the original owner was based out of Oklahoma and had bought the bike new in '94.
Prior to purchasing her, I decided to call Jeff Fredette and get his opinion as I knew these models were somewhat short-lived here in the US. Once I had him on the line and told him what I was calling about he said, "the MEDIA killed that bike!!" He went on to say that for some reason the media was expecting it to be more of a MX model like the Yamaha WR250 and were disappointed that Kawasaki had built the KDX250 as an actual KDX!
He told me they were just as capable of being modified as the 200s and that it'd be a great bike to own.I also own a 2005 200 model and my first bike was a 1987 air-cooled KDX200. With that said, I also own a 1994 KX250 and thought it might be cool to own the KDX250 from the same year (the '94 graphics were always my absolute favorites!
