hello guys , im an owner of a kdx 250 94, im traing to restore the bike , specially ignition is a disaster.. it doesn't have the original cdi , stator and coil. ..the problem is that i can't finde the original cdi unit 21119-1311 , do you know what part from another bike will work???

does cdi unit from kx will work?? need hel please..

CDI Unit from KX wired differently. may have to do with presence/absence of lighting hardware between the two.

I've seen questions on whether period KDX200 CDI could be used, but with with no definitive answers...yet.

Given that the motor is, basically, an 89/90 KX250 with different porting and ignition, that is where I started my comparison. There is a very similar thread with a very similar question recently in this section of the forum. I'll be experimenting with a KDX200 CDI myself over the winter...a few months off, though.

No clue on a lead for you, other than getting creative on ebay searches, maybe.

I'll be picking up a "donor bike" that has a good CDI on board. PM me and I'll keep you posted.

on ebay i search everyday,..and the only one on sale are from uk at 145 dollars.. abit expensive i think...

That is the one designed for the KDX200/220 that I will be experimenting with during the winter.

Look and see if there is a trigger coil separate of the stator coil under the magneto. If there is then its CDI is not compatible with the 200/220.
