Rekluse EXP 2.0 available now!

Post by Kroynon »

Out of curiosity I was checking the difference between the exp clutch I had pulled from my 2008 KX450 with the basket on the old KDX.
Turns out the kx Recluse is a drop in for the Kdx and works great. Thought I'd share with all who wished they made one of these for your out-dated bike.

How many frictions did you have to remove?

Any slipping?

Removed three frictions and two steels. Used four of the Rekluse stiffer clutch springs that come in the kit. Set up was as per the instructions at the lever.
Just a short test last night. Clutch was super smooth and there was no slipping.
Going for a longer ride this afternoon and will report back.

Cool.

I have been working on a Rekluse for the H series bikes for a while now. I am still waiting for my "torture" test ride.

Hi, little confused did auto clutch come out of KLX 450 (4 stroker) or KX 250 2 stroke? not heard of KX 450 in NZ. Also you fitted this to H series KDX 200 is that correct?.

Keen to install one in my 2005 KDX 200.

Thanks Mike T

The EXP for the KX 450 four stroke drops right in to the KDX 250.

Rekluse doesnt make anything that drops into a 200 or 220.

After some more riding with the exp I have to say that this thing rocks in the 250. I'm not even gonna mess with the springs and leave it with the KX450 setup that it comes with from Rekluse. You can get going from a stop on a steep grade easily and smoothly without even thinking about it but fan the clutch and start attacking at any time. Picking your way through roots, rocks and trees while hill climbing is now a cakewalk. I'm getting old and this is really helping me endure the hard rides with the twenty something hard core guys I ride with. Not one other guy I know has an auto clutch. Think I'm gonna keep this my little secret and pretend that I'm just awesome haha. :boogie:
