6 Speed?

Post by tlevta »

Will a 6 speed transmission from a 200 or 220 work in a 250 motor? I have to ask this while my engine is still apart.

Not enough room in the cases? There's a 200 motor for sale locally, and I thought about looking at it just for the transmission.

How did you plan to mount the shafts, gears, shift forks, change drum, etc. into the insides of a crankcase not designed to hold it??

No, it will not work. The 200/220 engines are based off the KX125 and the KDX250 is based off the KX250. They are two totally different transmissions.
