1991/2 KDX250 manual

Post by YH250 »

Hi
I live in South Africa and just bought a 1991/2 KDX250 and am looking for a owners manual please let me know if you have an electronic copy or where I can get my hands on one much appreciated.
And the other request is if any one knows if the 250 uses gearbox/transmission oil or ordinary motor oil?

You can use 10w-30/40 motor oil as long as it is not "energy conserving". Safest bet is a motorcycle specific 10wXX oil, which will indicate that it is safe for wet clutch. ATF type F is a cheap substitute that is safe to run and works well.

As for the manual, I think you use a KDX200 manual, with a KDX250 supplement.

I found the owners manual by searching for my VIN here:
http://www.kawasaki.com/DefaultFrame.as ... EHICLE.ASP

That linked me to this series of PDFs:
