That’s amazing! My wife and daughter are into supercross so last weekend I showed them that classic battle between Bailey and Johnson on their 86’s. The 85-87 CR’s are my all time favorite look for a bike. Those and the 85-86 ATC 250r’s. I used to stare at those brochures for hours and my dad would take me to the dealer so I could sit on them.

Absolutely beautiful. I need one for my living room. :bravo:
If you lend someone $20, and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

My son had one exactly like that. Tons of fun. I broke my leg showing him how to ride it fast.

Thanks, but . Please don't what?!?+...lol. That's what Soichiro Honda designed the thing to do.
I'll try not to crash it. But will ride...fast.

There are folks that collect all kinds of things. Cars, guns, etc. IMO, use them for what they people created them for. I think that's the way they would want it. It's the least you could do.

I am an 80's kid so I can relate. My girlfriend at the time had the ATC250. Dangerous machine! I never did like the three or four wheelers, except on ice. Then you could hang off that ATC as you cranked thru a 30-40 mph sweeper across the ice.... :supz:

So the CR has the forks of an '87(a nice upgrade), Keihin PWK 38mm Air Striker Carburetor, TLR Performance~engine Tuning shop from Sebastian, Florida built the motor, DG pipe, DID Gold ring on OEM sprockets,Renthall Twinwalls, Pro_taper Clutch perch/lever, and the pegs are off a YZ250.
I may be forgetting something.
But I am pulling the shock and forks off this weekend for a rebuild and maybe an upgrade here too.
OEM parts are getting hard to find with an increase in interest on the "older" bikes. And expensive too. I found some guy that had a NOS rear brake lever in Canada. Mine was a little bent and rusty. You don't want to know what I paid for that...my wife finds out there will be fireworks!lol
Aftermarket radiator louvers from France? Yup. Vintage MX Parts.
If you somewhere I could find and aftermarket clutch cover, please let me know.

Nice Yamaha!

NOS parts have gone through the roof. It is crazy. I imagine you spent $200 on the lever.
