KLX 140L / KX 80 Fork Swap

Post by B737driver »

Well, after a successful KDX/KX fork swap, I am now looking for some direction on the wife's KLX. Recently bought a '98 KX 80, parted it out and kept the forks and triples, along with the front brake assembly. There is a little info over on TT, just thought I'd see if anyone here on the my home turf has any experience with this swap.
Thx,
Don

KLX 140L / KX 80 Fork Swap

I assume the wheel size and the fork length is about the same? Then it should be about the same as the KDX/KX swap. Do a write up and let us know.

I did this on my sons DRZ125L I used RM85 forks they were a direct swap. you just need to move the forks up in the triple trees a bit to get the right geometry. You will also need the front axle from the forks your going to use. A huge improvement.
