87-88 carburetor
Does anyone out there have a working 87-88 200 carb? I have been searching high and low for one. I would prefer stock to keep the bike period correct. Owned this bike for a 2 years now and have been fighting carb gremlins the whole time.

Re: 87-88 carburetor
The 1986 - 1987 carb is the saem (Mikuni), but the 1988 carb is Keihin. The boots are different for each (carb to engine and airbox to carb).

I have the 88 boot so I can take either one. Just can't find anything. All the guys who use to mod them are no longer taking jobs. So I'm kinda dead in the water.

Got a PWK 35mm air striker but can't find the right top with the 90 deg bend. Also it's a left hand and not a right hand choke.... I just want to ride my bike. Hell I'd even take an 87 carb that isn't working to see if I can use my old one and between the 2 make 1 working one.

Re: 87-88 carburetor
I got a brand new mikuni VM34 with the correct jets, slides, needle jet, and pilot. I also have a brand new Keihin PWK (not quad vent or airstriker) that I plan on using in my 88. I was going to test out the differences. I can sell you the mikuni if you would like. These are both universal carbs with the choke on the left, it's possible to access it but a pain.
