Total junk. What is his number? I will drive right there and tell him so, right after I stop at the ATM to get $500.

NOTE TO SELF: DO NOT FORGET loading ramps and tie down straps for the white KDX totally worth $500 in today's pandemic pricing.

Hi,

I haven't done an introduction yet, but I have to comment here.

Buy it. I'd take it for 500 in a heartbeat, whatever shape the mechanicals are in. But then I love the C-series KDX's. I am starting the restoration of a white 88 and I'm always looking for more/better plastics and parts. In this market, as KDXGarage said, 500 is a screaming deal. Buy it. Though I suspect if might be sold already if it was posted on the open market.

( I will post my white 88 resto thread very soon - I've spent 6 year amassing parts and yesterday the first step in the actual restoration started - I took the frame to the powdercoaters! It begins!)

Sweet, looks like your area has lower bike values than my area (Spokane, WA). Good luck, I'm looking forward to some pics of it in your garage!

I agree white plastics alone worth 500. Kipsy what do think looks like 1986 seat/frame with 88 white plastics?

Yep, a complete set of apparently damage-free white plastics is worth the price of admission alone. I thought the same as you, an 86 that someone just put the 88 plastics on. The 86 seat and black engine sort of point that direction.

I saw this done once maybe 8 years ago on an 86 or 87 and wondered the same thing - how do you find a complete nearly perfect set of white plastic to swap over? Perhaps two people meet at a ride, chuckle about both having C-series KDX's, one has a green and one has a white, and they both prefer the other color and swap it all over there on the trail. They come home from the ride and everybody does a double-take and asks what the heck happened to their bikes! Probably not the true story, but I like the idea.
