First is there a link to common mods for 83-85 KDX's?
Second, What year KX upper triple clamps bolts onto those years bike?
and third, are there any aftermarket shocks available for 93-85 KDXs?
Thanks!

Re: Two Questions, well three.
Fredette had a list of mods for various years. It is on the internet, not sure if he has the pre-89 mods on his site.
You can look up the parts diagrams on partzilla or elsewhere and click on the part number to see which other models had the same exact part number. I think the KX went from the 38 mm tubes to 43 mm in 1983?
Race Tech can. Works Performance use to make them.

Re: Two Questions, well three.
Thanks, Jeff's stuff is pretty much limited to jetting for my year KDX. I don't think KX's and KDX's ever shared the same part numbers other than generic nuts and bolts. I believe the upper triples had different handlebar mounts and that's my interest. The KDX bar mounts are cast in and placed/angle too far back. I'm looking for a more forward conventional style mount. It's been about 40 years since I played with KDX's so I need to re-school myself. Thanks again.

Re: Two Questions, well three.
I understand you on the bar mounts. The 1989 - 1992 is the same way (and part number) as the 1987 KX125.
The trick is going to be to get someone to accurately measure the offset and spacing to compare to a stock clamp.
Check out some of the KDX250 / KDX 400/420/450 clamps. 1982 KDX250 and KDX450 had bolt bar mounts.
