Top Engine Mount Bracket - Frame Flex?!?
When I purchased my '88 KDX 200, I noticed the top engine mount bracket was missing. Has anyone purposely left this off due to potential frame flex and pulling the head away from the cylinder? I don't think I ride hard enough to flex the steel frame but it was something I read that was happening to the Yamaha IT200's. Since it was missing, I bought a used bracket off of ebay but wondering if it is actually doing me harm.

Fredette used to do it, I think.
I never did back when I was putting around on mine.
You are talking about the head brace, correct?

KDXGarage - Yes, I talking about the head brace.
You mean you never installed the top brace or you never pulled it off?
