Fredette rebuild

Post by targetman »

Sent Jeff an '87 motor to rebuild. Just got it up and running today. Here is a cylinder that has not been ported, and the cylinder that I just got back from FRP.

WOW!

WOW!

WOW!

That is a huge difference! The bottom left and right on the bottom looks horrible compared to the top.

Another thing Jeff did was fit an H model shift mechanism into the motor. This motor is so tight and crisp. It's better than new.

Curious about the shifter mod - does this improve feel, or was yours damaged?

I never ran the motor before i sent it to Jeff so I can't tell the before and after difference. He said it was worn. It does shift way better than what I was running.

Had a chance to take it on a real ride yet? Curious to hear what it feels like with the porting

I'm happy with the porting. Crisp throttle and stronger all around.
