What are my options for upgrading the front brake on the 86-88?

Which year do you have?

1986 had a stainless line. 1987 and 1988 went back to rubber.

What have you got now, all stock? How old is the fluid, dust seal, fluid seal, fluid, hose, master cylinder parts?

Piston condition?

I would like a dual piston caliper like the H model.

So all I need are 95-06 forks, wheel and caliper?

I am doubtful that the 1995+ caliper will mount to the 1986 - 1992 fork leg. I am not 100% sure, as I am not looking at them right now.

If you wanted to swap forks and caliper, then I would check on front wheel and axle fit, as it may indeed need the 1995+ front wheel also. I am not sure about if the hub will work with the digital tripmeter drive, if you still have that working.
