Anybody use the new Mikuni VM34 universal carbs as a replacement for the factory VM34SS?

No. Did You ever try it? I was looking for a vm34ss and can't believe how hard it is to find anything for. Currently looking at this Mikuni VM34 Universal but still trying to figure out if choke position can be remedied with a knob style and if the 5mm smaller port on the engine side is good enough so I dont have to replace inlet boot since I already spent money on the hotfoot moto intake.

How is the quality and fit of that hotfoot intake?
I got the same bike and will need one for the long haul..
Love the bike- hope to be riding it for many yrs ..
