1982 KDX 175 boost bottle

Post by Nute »

Just bought a KDX175 & when I got it home I noticed that this bike has a boost bottle. The intake boot is full of cracks & will need replacement. Any wild guesses what or where to find an intake boot for this?

Welcome to kdxrider.net.

Have you already looked on eBay?

There is a guy that makes new ones for various bikes. He might make one for KDX175.

Pulled it apart last night & all they did was add a tube to the stock flange.

Hotfoot moto has the intake manifold.
I bought one for my 86 and the quality was good.

BTW, I have an 82 IT175 that also has the boost bottle, must have been the hot setup that year.
All I can figure is that it would delay the vacuum pulse a bit on the intake stroke.
