E series Alternative Fuel Tank

Post by Kdxbrissy »

Hey there, same problem as many owners, 1991 KDX200F (Australian road legal model) fuel tank is cracking in multiple places due to being left in the sun for an extended period. Plastic welding will only work until the next crack appears.

Looks like the KX500 tank, 1988 onwards, will fit as a replacement with modifications to the seat.

Anyone done this and how did you sort out the radiatior shrouds?

Thanks for your time

Well I managed to find an original steel tank so I didn't try the KX500 option.

Congratulations on finding one. I think parts are drying up.
