Jet block gasket size?

Post by tricolor9 »

I ordered a jet block gasket off of eBay for my 1990 OEM Keihin 35mm, but it looks like it’s too skinny. Is it supposed to be a tight fit or do these “plump up”?? The listing said it fit 35mm and a host of other similar sizes, I just wanted to make sure before I complained to the guy! Thanks

They only make one size of jet block gasket. It either fits in the groove it's designed for or it doesn't.

Yeah there's only one size. Like anything, If it's a cheap knockoff it likely won't fit.

Link below. I think the bottom line is just to stick with jetsrus or sudco, despite feeling like it’s overpriced after factoring in shipping for such a dinky o ring.

Looks right to me.
If you lend someone $20, and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

Looks correct to me but who knows without actually trying it. As for buying from Sudco or Jets-R-Us, you could always add on a few main a pilot jets sizes to your order for when you take the time to jet your bike. You could even pick up a carb rebuild kit as well to help defray the shipping cost.

Sudco is out of stock but stated they’d recently sent a bunch to JD Jetting, who I hadn’t heard of. They still had them so Injust placed an order. So if anyone else is in the future is looking, you’ve got Sudco, JetsRUs and JD Jetting to check with. Just avoid the knock-offs on eBay!

JD jetting is out here in WA and seems very reputable outfit. I was sent their way from the master (RB) for the finger turn air screw. So I would count them in the good-guys.
