My 93 build
Bought this bike in 2019. Gave it some visual and engine upgrades. Definitely not done with it. More plastic and possibly seat upgrades coming in the future. What do you guys think so far?

Congratulations on the '93. Looking good!
Which type of fork guards and guides are those?
Thanks.

Love it! I still got a soft spot for the E-series bikes.

Re: My 93 build
They are from a 2005 RM250. Guides fit right up. I had to modify the left guard to fit the odd brake line connector that the e series has, and drill a hole on the outer face of each guard to fit up to the side mounting hole. The front mount lined right up.

Re: My 93 build
A little update on the '93. So the other day I pulled the seat off and did a little modification. Shaved down the backside of the seat, and trimmed the corners off so the seat can sit pretty much flush with the rear fender. IMO I think this little mod makes the bike look a lot cleaner on the backside.

Re: My 93 build
Isgc, thank you for sharing photos of your effort. Looks good. I'd like some advice, please. I want to reduce the height (thickness) of seat foam on my 1999 KDX 220. If it is possible to do it well, then it'll look okay and let me reach the ground nearly flat-footed.
What did you trim the foam with? Razor blade, hack saw, electric carving knife, other?
Can you offer any tips for getting relatively clean cuts?
best, billie
