I just bought a silencer off of eBay, and I took it apart, and it looks like this:
Is it missing a piece? I think so, in looking at the OEM parts for a 1991 KDX on RockyMountainATV. I think I am missing a baffle.
Could I take another exhaust silencer I have laying around and cut a perforated tube the appropriate length to connect the two internal pieces? And wrap silencer packing around this section?

On 18046 (the packing, you can just use aftermarket packing, fiberglass insulation wrapped, etc.
