This is the very thing that Ryan Hughes is touting in his new DVD; relying on the legs and core, not the arms per se, to guide and control the bike. His more famous disciples (Villopoto, Deidrich ) and followers of this principle (Bubba Stewart and Carmichael ) are known for their ability to ride faster with less fatigue. They also display an elbows down riding style as the arms become less important due to greater use of the legs.
