What pressures do you guys run front and rear I know it can vary depending on terrain. Im curious how much variation there is between different riders.

My usual's
Rear: 11-13

My front with a Michelin M12 is about 15 Psi or the rim feels like it is hitting too much.
My rear with a knobby is about 10-12 if I check it. And with the trials between 6-8. Have thought about going lower but it works great where it is so I figure I should leave it alone.

I run normally 7 up front and 5 in the rear during the dry times. When there is some moisture in the ground I'll bump up to about 8-9 in the front and 7 in the rear. Of course, I run Tubliss with Maxxis tires that allow me to get away with such low pressures without killing my rims. It also doesn't hurt that I weigh 150!

I like 8 up front and 8.5 in the back. It does depend a lot on terrain and speeds. I'm riding 90% 3rd gear single track. S12 front and rear.

I run 11 in the front with a m12 tire. And 10 in the rear
tire. The trials are sand and roots ,with some rocks too. Any softer mite bend a rim.

8-10 in back (Kenda Equilibrium)
10-13 up front (MotoZ Tractionator Enduro S/T)

Sorry for bumping such an old thread but it was still on the first page.

PFFT! It's relevant. No problem.

I saw a guy on another forum today where a guy in 2010 had asked about buying a magazine. Some guy that was new to the forum posted that he had some for sale today.

You are fine! :-)

My how times have changed. Now I run the Goldentyre fatty up front, with Tubliss, at 11-12 psi depending on conditions. Rear is Shinko 525 cheater, again with Tubliss, at 7.5-8 psi.

Are you saying that the new tires you're running have softer sidewalls....or you're not 150 anymore? lol

I'm running Tubliss with 8-9 psi in a Dunlop MX52 on the rear and 11 psi on the front with a Bridgestone Battlecross X30 (a really crappy tire BTW, just waiting for it to wear out so I can go to the GoldenTyre).

For single track in the NW, I run a Shinko 216MX fatty with Tubliss at 11 psi up front and a Shinko 525 Cheater Hybrid with Tubliss at 8 psi rear.

Ha! Actually, I'm weighing in at 140 now! On the Fatty I've found it gives it's best performance at that psi. The sidewalls don't seem that soft but definitely softer than the Maxxis SI I was running. The Shinko feels stiff but after a few hours riding it really gets soft.

Still running the stock knobbies at 12-15 psi. Can't justify the new tires yet, but thinking about going with the Motoz Tractionator IT or the Bridgestone Battlcross X30 when I need new shoes. Most of the time it is dry and rocky, so figure those would be a good options. Would like to go to tubeless as well, but now I am just dreaming! Especially since this fork project needs to happen first haha.

Is that the same as their Enduro IT? If so, those were the worst tires I have ever owned. They cracked, chunked, and would put me on the ground without warning. Of course, that's riding in AZ. Might be fine for your terrain.

Good to know! Was looking at them for my past dual sport bike too. I've had good luck with the Motoz Mountain Hybrid rear and figured they be a solid tire, especially with the price. The AZ condition are probably similar to that in CA. Right now we are getting a good amount of rain, but late spring through fall it'll be dry, dusty, and slippery. Choosing tires seems to be a trial and error type of thing with a lot of variation. I may be better off trying some Shinkos and not breaking the bank.

A lot of really good reviews for the Battlecross for intermediate terrain. Guess it is hard to tell until you ride on them. Shinko or Goldentyre might be in order then.

Sadly the stock knobbies that are still on the bike do a decent job in both the dry rocky and softer chocolate cake conditions. At the rate I am riding, I will probably have another 8-12 months on them. Need to get out more!
