CR/kdx Hybrid Question

Post by SVandal »

For those who have done this hybrid, do you need to remove any engine components to fit the motor into the frame? If so, how does the effect re-assembly? I asked over at DR, but wanted to see if anyone here had experience with it.
Thanks

I had to leave the head off my KDX motor to get the motor into a '99 CR250 frame.
The carb was a tight squeeze also, but went leftrightupdowntwistleftIN

I managed to get mine in using about that same method, though the head was left on. Now I am going to see if I can fit a pipe. The 2003 is pretty tight unless I find a way to make some extra room between the frame down tube and the head. Thanks for the help Karl!
