KDX hybrid
I have a 1998 KDX 220r. It's in good shape and it's bone stock. I got it for free from a family member. I also have an 01 CR 250 that's set up for woods with a rekluse. I love the KDX motor. My question is, is it really worth all the time and money to swap the KDX motor into a different frame?. I wouldn't be putting into my CR frame, I would put it into something else.

Re: KDX hybrid
Welcome to the forums. Most who have done the swap love it. Is it worth the trouble to you? Only you can decide on how much you want to go through with all that is required.

Re: KDX hybrid
If you like to tinker, build cool things, and have some mechanical ability, it is definitely worth it. Read the this section of the forum and see if you think you are up to the challenge or not and make a decision. Maybe just ride the KDX as it is for a while first, its still a super fun bike in its stock form, depending on what kind of riding you do.
