I have a chance to buy a complete, Less the engine, 2006 KX250F for $850. Would a KDX engine fit? I weld and fabricate, but not sure if the frame would line up for the exhaust pipe to mount. Anyone offer advice?

You'll have to do some fab work but I bet it would work. It would certainly be a nice setup.

Took a look at my 98 KDX220 and my 09 KX250F for the possibilities of the 06 KX250f frame and a KDX motor. The KXf has a single Aluminum down tube while the KDX has the split down tube for the exhaust. I'm kinda seeing a way to cut the KXF down tube and put in a donut shaped section where the pipe could go through the donut. Now the engine I'm looking at is a 93 KDX200. Is this a decent motor? Or should I hold out for a 220?

The 93 is a great motor. Arguabely better than the newer model. If you want more CC's have it bored/plated in 10-20 years when you wear the plating out.
