Are there any special tips to cleaning an RB-mod carb vs normal PWK?

No, same as any other PWK carb. Don't soak it unless planning to replace the jet block gasket.

TY. I am hoping I find an obvious clogged jet or something. I have not cleaned it since installed. So expect something could have sneaked past the filter.

Jelly in the bowl. Fired back up 2nd kick.
Back on the path to recovery.
I bought one of those mini tanks to hang on bars. Cost way more than it should but sure is handy when the bike is in many pieces!

I learned this from restoring a 1994 honda gold wing that had sat for 6 years. The goldwing carb is very complex with many tiny passages notorious for clogging up,they also have a felt shaft seal that when it goes bad or gets damaged it means a new and expensive replacement.Anyway on to facts.Using pure un-diluted ethylene glycol, heat in an old crock pot to about 140 turn off and drop the stripped carb into it for a couple hours(depending on how badly gummed up) remove, wash in soapy water, blow out and hit the body and passages with wd-40
works everytime and will not damage the jet block gasket guaranteed
