Hi
I have the following mods on my 1997 KDX 220 and would like to see if anyone has any advice in regard to the jetting for this setup.
Standard Air Box
standard carb
stock needle jet sizes and e clip position
Mods
K&N Air filter
fmf power core 2 silencer
fmf Gnarly rev (desert) header pipe
v force 3 reed

I have a stock KDX220 and I believe jets are 42 / 145 (if that is of any help) at 640 ft above sea level (Maryland)

Did you read the jetting guide? Use those settings as your baseline and you'll have to figure out the rest for your particular bike and riding style. My 220 with the stock carb and the same mods as yours ran good with 40 pilot, 2nd clip position on the needle, and 142 main before V Force 3. That's Florida summer heat at sea level. A tech at Moto Tassanari told me its not unusual to have to drop 1-2 pilot jet sizes with the VF3's. You didn't state your temperature or elevation which might help others make suggestions.
