Al I have to say is I agree with ALL of the above.
My DR350 had trials type tires on when I bought it so I know what those are like in the same conditions.
The KDX had the original rubber when I bought it. After installing the Shinko on, the traction was unbelievable!
You want a tire that really hooks up? Shinko Cheater. Gummy soft, so if your looking for a tire that lasts, this aint it.
Really puts a smile on my face.
FYI Bridgestone M-59 80/100 front, and no complaints with that either.

I'm running a Shinko 520DC dual compound cheater on the rear (only comes in 120/100-18, but runs a bit smaller than a standard 120), and a Shinko 216MX 90/100-21 Fatty Cheater front. All I can say is that I am the most pleased I've ever been overall with my tires on either KDX. The Shinko 520DC I thought I should replace before a March road trip to some gnarly rocky steep technical trails at Redbird Crest Kentucky, but I ran out of time. The knobs were worn down and all rounded off.
Well guess what? The amazingly grippy Shinko cheater gummy rubber compound gripped so well that I would've never known i was on a tire that was under consideration for throwing in the trash pile!
I took a heated knobby knife to if before the next ride, to square off the leading edges of the knobs, and it grips as good as new again! Glad I didn't change it out prematurely. Amazing tires.
