Lectron for Kdx 220r

Post by kvkdx »

anyone running a lectron?
I just installed my lectron (stock carb was my weak spot and needed to be bored by RB or Freddette) I decided to drop coin and just get the LECTRON, holy crap only 2 days on bike and I will claim its worth every penny. I gained so so much bottom torque, smoother acceleration and now the bike can launch in any gear from a stand still, Im supe rimpressed with the performance gains and Im serious when I say Ive had to do NOTHING , just installed, plug and play, I cant wait to get out on trail and see what fuel effeciency gains I get. suppossed to be 30% to 40% gained fuel mileage which would be awesome

Not trying to rain on your parade but I would say most of the gains you got are due to the fact you replaced a bad carb. The Lectron is pretty sweet (have one on my GasGas) but the improvements you mention I got the same with installing an RB modified carb on my KDX's. That said, I'm glad your bike is ripping! :supz: The best thing about the Lectron is not playing with the jetting once dialed in. I ride from about 800ft to 7000ft here in AZ so it makes life a lot easier. I haven't noticed any improvement in fuel mileage though.

My son's KTM 300 has a Lectron and it's the same story - no jetting worries up to 9000'.

How did you get the lectron to fit? I’m having a heck of time fitting without tilting to the side.

I'm curious as well cause I've always heard it was a very, very tight fit and have thus been reluctant to take the plunge.

I replied to your other post as well. Did you just recently buy your Lectron or is it older? In the following thread I posted pictures of how they now shave down one side to allow the carburetor to fit under the frame. I didn't have any issues at all installing mine, and I purchased it around June of last year.
