Great deal on carb vent silicone tubing

Post by C George »

Here's a great deal on 10' of 4mm carb vent tubing.

It takes a week or two to receive but you can't beat the price.

I got one roll and ordered a 2nd just to have.

I dont have any personal experience with it, but I have consistently read that silicone is not gas resistant.

As long as you arent using it as fuel line, the risk is low if it does deteriorate.

I don't know if I'd believe a word of that listing just based on the headline.... one word stuck out like a sore thumb, vacuum. silicone will collapse under vacuum. FWIW, silicone is NOT a good application for gas. the deal is right though.

CARB VENT TUBING ONLY !

Good quality product ,,,, NO silicone tubing is reccomended for gasoline fuel line.
Polypropeline is the only decent fuel line out there.

Just thought I"d throw it out there ,,,,,,,,, No worries :supz:

It wouldn't be my first choice for automotive vacuum tubing but I'm sure many a ricer wants colored tubing under the hood.

That in silicone would have a wall thickness three times thicker than this.

Old thread I know....BUT.....
I found this stuff to be AWESOMESAUCE! I love there gas cap vent hose, way better than those POS Fly branded hoses you get at the dealer, same price as well. They also sell a carb vent hose kit for 2Ts that's $8.00. I have 3 of the kits, one on my son's bike and a couple kits for my bikes (I use 1/2 black and 1/2 green). Quality stuff!

P.S. they ship for free.
