Can i get a leaner needle for the '88 pwk?

Yes, even Kawasaki OEM still sells the original five.

leaner taper, height or thickness??

I'm not sure what I need. The bike has always been sluggish at low rpm. I thought I had tried everything to fix it. Just the other day realized that I didn't try every clip position as in at the highest point. Now with the clip at the 1st position, the bikes running much better. Not perfect , but a noticeable improvement.

I think the OEM ones are thicker and thinner, but I am not sure.

As always, be sure the float valve is good, float height is good, pilot jet is correct, air screw is set well before worrying about slide number, needle, main.

I am gaining a better understanding of what I did. I have several '88 carbs. I checked the clip position of one of the spare carbs and seen it was at the highest position. I then installed that spare needle into the bike. Thinking that they were the same stock needle. Turns out they are two different needles. I stepped up the diameter of the straight section. R1367E to R1368E.
