Recently installed usd fork.

How much do I need to internally shorten 2003 kx250 forks so they will keep the bike geometry. No room to push them up heighter. Is it an inch or less

My bike is already lowered internally front and back by 15mm. But with the additional 25mm I took down for front forks seems my stoke length is really short.

Let's see... 2003 KX250 fork travel is 11.81" of travel. The '95+ KDX has 11.417" so that equals a .393" difference or right close to 10mm.

Thank you. Have felt like front end is low. I’m out by 15mm regardless of the overall lowering of my bike.

Measure both sets of forks from the axle to the top of the fork cap. That is going to matter.

Yep, so many factors to be aware of.

Have you considered just putting small risers on the bars? When I switched to Flexx Bars the mount raised the bars just enough to accommodate my KX250 forks.

I have 04 kx250 forks in my 2000 KDX and I do run a handlebar riser (always have) .. it allowed me to push the new KX forks up enough to give me the same geometry. I took a measurement from the floor up to a marked point on the steering tube ( frame) with the stock forks and then just made sure to slide the KX forks up enough to give me the same geometry. not sure if that is exact science but it worked for me ..
