Hello everybody...
I recently put a set forks from a 2008 kx450 on my kdx220 but of course they are too stiff, I actually dont know anything about adjusting them, changing springs or oil levels on them to make them better for the woods. Can somebody give me some advice or info about it? Maybe somebody have done this conversion before?

Find a local suspension shop with a good reputation among the racers. Worth the $$ for sure.

Concerning the springs, what is your weight in full riding gear?

Read up on midvalve and base valve valving.

I can only comment on my experience from other Motocross bikes. First off back off the high speed damping to zero . Motocross forks feel all wrong for enduro, you will have to change the fork springs and valving, it gets expensive so might be worth studying and do it yourself. Also maybe measure the total length of the kx450 against the standard kdx forks, if the kx forks are shorter the bike will be front heavy and that will have the forks sitting past the softest part of the stroke

You can download the 2008 KX450F owner's manual from www.kawasaki.com and look at the fork info on there. The spring rate may be perfect for your weight and riding conditions, but the valving will not be. There are no small roots, rocks, logs, etc. on MX tracks, so they are not valved for them. To get it to work really well is going to require changes to the valving. This applies to any MX fork in the last 20 years put on a KDX.

I'm like 220 with my gear on...
And thanks for the info I'm gonna look for a good suspension guy around here... I hope I can get it right...
