'13 kyb sss swap complete
Hi guys, I've been busy but finally got the '13 yz250 front end installed on my e-series, just needed to swap/knurl steering stems and a shim for the top clamp, eventually I'll tap the steering stops for adjustment screws but it barely touches the tank as is so no big deal right now, only had it out for a couple short rides so far and need to replace fork oil/dust seals but definitely much more stability/confidence at higher speeds and eats every bump, rut, obstacle etc..etc..on the trail with authority lol .. heading back to work for couple months so I'll have time to do a few more changes like a new ims/clark kx500 tank and a new kx500 seat base from evo-mx, possibly doing a kx500 swingarm/linkage/shock conversion also but not sure yet, I'll add a list of all oem and aftermarket parts into the build so far....Have fun guys and ride safe!

That bike looks great. Can't wait for a ride report on the forks. Isn't there some way to reroute that front brake line though? That just looks like its really hanging out there for something to grab and either rip it off or you down hard (or both likely).

Dang that swing arm is pretty. Now I want to do mine. I second the brake line reroute recommendation. That’s a serious safety issue. Judging by the look of it you must not be done setting it up though. I see the fork line clamp grommet is slid up the line from the clamp too.

Another "no" vote on the brake line here. That looks dangerous! Source a shorter line, one from a YZ should work.

That front brake line routing was just because I thought my line was too long to route it properly, don't worry my ocd made me fix it immediately after taking the pictures lol

Yeah, the bottom pic was taken soon as it was finished but if you look at the other pic you'll see the grommet position changed and the brake line routed correctlyMoonStomper wrote: ↑08:32 am Apr 30 2022 Dang that swing arm is pretty. Yeah, most people don't realize how much upgrading the forks really helps the KDX until they do it. I assume you're a believer now, yes?
May I ask, what is to be gained by doing a KX500 swingarm and linkage swap?

It’s always fun pointing out the obvious. Like today… went to fire her up and sneak a quick ride and warm up the tranny so can swap in some fresh ATF-F. Kicked, sounded funny and ran two seconds, repeated this about ten times before realizing my silencer plug was still in.
