Is there any replacement spherical bearings available for the 86-88 suspension arm? They want my left nut for a genuine one if you can find them. Must be something else that fits surely??? 14 x 27.7 x 17

I could not find anything available from the commercial/industrial/aviation market that fits. Appears that Kawi only used it on a few models for a couple years. Best price I found on Ebay was 60$ You might get lucky and find a rod online for sale.

Contacted Kaman they could not find anything in that size. Everywhere on google says they are not available.
Possibly a used motorcycle parts dealer might have it off another bike as that brg was used in a few bikes back then

KDX garage. Thankyou. Here is another option I discovered today. The bearing has a part number on it. GE14ES/K1. Punch that into your search engine!! Only comes up in England, not Australia, but cheap!!!!

You're welcome.

Those bearings were not cheap from Kawasaki when the bike was relatively new. I bought a couple in the late 80's or early 1990's. I think I paid $22 or so, plus tax back then (plus labor to install).

Thanks for the lead for spherical bearings – just ordered them from All Balls for my 86 KDX200.
Has anyone found a source for the dogbone mounting bolts? I found the bottom one on eBay, but no joy for the top one: Part # 92002-1633.

Welcome to kdxrider. Thanks for joining.

I don't have a lead on that bolt. Sorry.

I might have an extra set, but I know the top one had wear from a seized bearing

Can you bore the diameter a little bigger to match an available part?

I think with these linkage bearings one side of the bearing race and the sphere were flush, making this unique. That might’ve just been the shock bearing though, can’t remember if they were all like that

The 1988 bolt might work, if you can find one. I think it was the same, just with no grease fitting.

I think the swingarm bolt is the same way.

Thanks for responses guys. I think the '88 had smaller threads than the '86 (12 vs 14mm), but a good thought. I think I'll just look for a 14x50mm bolt without threads except for the final few mm (which may be just as hard to find that as the original part!). I'll just have to disassemble it to grease it.
Thanks again.

The bearing is the same for 1986 - 1988. The '88 bolt does need the '88 nut.
