Here is some KDX USD fork info I gathered in 2005

KDX USD Fork Info

1993 - 1994 KDX200

1994 KDX200
distance from where bottom of spring sets to where top of springs sets is 462.5mm
Eibach 996 springs will not work (diameter too large to fit in inner tube)
stock 1987 KDX200 springs will not work (diameter too large to fit in inner tube)
stock 1995 and newer KDX200/KDX220R springs will not work (diameter too large to fit in inner tube)
stock 1991 - 1994 KDX250 springs will not work (diameter way too large to fit in inner tube)
Race Tech 3647 (35.8 x 35.8 x 472 mm) and FRP (36.068 mm) springs will work
Race Tech 3647 springs are 472 mm long, causing 9.5 mm of preload
FRP spring length from xxx's springs (one measured at 475 mm, one measured at 474 mm)
stock compression valving is one 0.2 mm and three 0.1 mm, 17.4 mm OD x 10 mm ID shims, counting from piston face, after thin ring shim

1991 - 1994 KDX250 (based on working on 1992 KDX250 forks)

stock spring rates are .35 for 1991 - 1994, according to buykawasaki.com (WOW, anyone been around long enough to remember that site?!)
stock 1995 and newer KDX200/KDX220R springs won't fit (too narrow for spring guide)
Eibach 996 springs won't fit (too narrow)
stock springs were measured to be 38.2-38.3 mm in diameter
distance from where bottom of spring sets to where top of springs sets is 490 mm
stock compression valving is 3 reverse bend shims, 17.4 mm OD x 10 mm x 0.1 mm, after thin ring shim
stock rebound valving is 4 reverse bend shims, 17.4 mm OD x 10 mm x 0.2 mm
xxx ordered Eibach 989 Series, I measured them at 486mm each
Eibach 989 springs and 1 1/4" PVC spacers were used, 4mm gap
