Do you have aftermarket springs?

They are stock parts. They are not 100% needed.

I have seen pictures on here. There are tangs at the outside of a washer, a thin one.

I don't know if prior owner ever changed springs, but I took them out and put new .40 springs in that I bought from FRP. Neither set had clips on the bottom. Both sets of springs were the same length.

Is there a part number for this clip thing of the KDX220 forks diagram? Or just roll without and move on to next problem....?

I found a saved file from 2006, when I was doing KDX suspension. Maybe this will help someone.

Rebound Valving

three 0.2 mm shims (17.4 mm OD x 10 mm ID x 0.2 mm thickness)

This is after the thin ring.

Compression Valving

ten 0.1 mm shims (17.4 mm OD x 10 mm ID x 0.1 mm thickness)

This is after the thin ring.

With my 93 KDX with the USD forks is this mod applicable? I bought appropriate springs for my weight 200+gear) from Race tech and am giong with 5w fork oil. But I'm having trouble sorting through which if any other mods to the forks are worth doing in addition considering my specific E model...

I can not remember the stock valving. It may be one thick and a couple of thin. If so, that won't work.
