That's a good price. I paid $379 for mine.

If you're on the fence about an auto clutch, buy this. It's very easy to install and works great. If for some reason you decide that you don't like an auto clutch it would be as simple to remove as replacing the clutch pack. I have no complaints at all about mine.

When it's locked out, did you still have both, Autoclutch AND hand clutch ?
Or you have to stop then unlock it to get back to auto .. ?

You have both... so you can still feather the clutch if need be.

If you need to bump start it... all you have to do is adjust the clutch at the perch to disengage the autoclutch and you have a normal clutch to bump it. Then just readjust and your back to full autoclutch....

I fought this all day. I kept reminding myself of all the things I SHOULD be spending the money on for things around the house.

But . . . I just bought it.

This setup is tailor made for the KDX.... perfect for woods riding!

It has none of the gotchas that a Autoclutch normally has. Total control and super affordable now!

I just wish I could talk Alan into making one for the E series without such a large commitment. I would love to build and E hybrid. It looks like we have 3 interested parties so far but we need 10 vested orders for it to happen.

It's not attached to the crank... it is a clutch.

It's really cool that you were able to do this. I'll be interested in an E series dynaring if I can ever come up with the cash. Wife is recently unemployed, so we're back to single income. ack......
