2002 KX 500 chasis...worth putting KDX motor in?

There's a 2002 KX500 for sale locally minus the motor, is this worth trying to swap my KDX250 motor into? From what I've read the KX500s were unchanged for years so I don't imagine the chasis is much of an upgrade from a 93 KDX 250....other than the forks which I will try to buy separately if the whole bike isn't worth the effort. At least the forks are a direct swap into my stock triple clamps as I understand it.
