I have a 99 kx 125 and im considering making it a hybrid. I have a friend that has a 200 and a 220, but I dont know what works the best for clearance and overall fit. Of course I would rather go with the 220 but I haven't seen any 220 conversions. Anyone know which specific motor I should get?

I personally went with the 200 because i race the 200 class with GNCC and there always only about 5-10 people in that class..and 3 or 4 usually dont finish..so i can always say i got atleast 4th o 5th place even though im last

what are you going to do with it?
I like the older E type 200 and will post a build here soon putting one into a 2001 KX chassis - the pipe was tough to fit in my application.

100% trail/woods bike. Man this build is gonna get expensive...I want to do it right and replace all bearings seals and have all the goodies too! How would I be able to get the kdx frame hoops since I dont have a kdx to chop up?

Have a metal/machine shop bend some up for you.
If you aren't in a big hurry, patience can pay off on eBay. I had a search set-up for almost a year and finally got a brand new Pro Moto kick stand for $50, they usually go for $134. I've gotten a lot of other new parts over the last year, but they all took time.

I hear that, I myself am waiting for a good deal on the billet kickstand... mxbike.com has em for $100 for 03-06...If you found yours for $50 hopefully I wont have to pay $100 plus. I just made the final decision to move forward with the build but I am going to be piecing all the parts together over several months. I just got a 220 (complete) for $50... and I think the guy has everything else I need including hoops. My best friend and I are gonna build 2 hybrids at the same time, so we have to get a welder and some other speacialty tools. I havent seen a build thread of 2 hybrids being built at the same time! should be awesome!!!

Don't forget the wiring harness, CDI, etc.
That is one reason it is always nice to get a complete KDX to get the motor out of.
