E series Fuel Tanks

A crack developed on my tank Saturday and is now leaking fuel. I figured it wouldn't be a problem to find another on Ebay so no big deal, right? Wrong! There isn't one single tank for an E series on Ebay. '88 and older, no problem. '95 and newer, no problem. E series... too bad, so sad. WTH?
Anyways, I don't have the cash to drop $300 for a new one. Is there a tank from another Kaw that will work? Maybe the '88 through '04 KX500? Or am I just screwed and will have to just save for a new tank?

you should be able to fit a kx500 tank and shrouds without much trouble. I've considered a clark or IMS kx500 tank since you can find them pretty cheap on ebay.

Just keep your eyes peeled. Ebay of course has a very dynamic supply. JB it for now.

I have two that I'm not using. One is green from a '94 with cracked shrouds, and the other is white from a '90. I also have the blue shrouds to go with the white one.
Let me know if you're interested in either of them.
