Ok I wanna get rid of my factory pipe... I have an after market expansion chamber... What type do you all like best Pro Circuit or FMF?
I know it's a personal choice, but I am not sure which one I want for my 03 KDX220..
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

I have the FMF Turbincore 2 on my '03 220 and it is lightweight and relatively quiet. I've got a buddy that has the Q and it is noticeably quieter at idle but not so much that you can tell in the upper rev ranges. I have a stock pipe and really notice no difference in performance between the FMF and stock silencer except for when the packing needs changing.

I like my fmf turbinecore.
Do you need a forestry approved spark arrestor?

No I don't need a forestry approved one. Just a good one. I'm leaning towards the FMF, but Pro Circuit is a very close second.

There's honestly no reason to change it except bling, and that's an expensive piece of bling. If it actually helped performance, I could see making the swap. Sorta like puttin a big old chrome fart can on the back of your civic....

Thanks juliend.. I agree with you to a point. They say it does help slightly with power. Not enough to matter maybe. I just really don't like the look of the factory silencer.. It's kinda blah, but I do appreciate your slant as perhaps I am looking for the "bling" effect rather than anything else. I will re-evaluate it.

and ask fuzzy. He has a cheaper way to reduce the weight by the same amount as the muffler change....

Is there an aftermarket "USFS approved" sparky for the FMF models which are not so equipped? An insert kinda deal?

I have a PC that I got brand new on ebay for $40. It feels a lot lighter than stock. I like it, and it is a bit louder than stock, but still much quieter than most the four strokes out there.
