So i just completed my first top end for myself, and the first for my bike. The whole process went pretty smoothly, but i still have a couple questions remaining. First off, what are the chances of the piston rings becoming misaligned from the little notch inside the grove on the piston while installing the cylinder wall, and do i have a desert pipe or torque pipe on it (cannot figure out how to upload an image, but the large part of the pipe is about an inch from the shroud)? Update on the pipe: I measured the gap between the shroud and pipe and it's just a hair less than a half inch, hopefully that can help out at all without a picture.

measure the bell (largest part of the pipe)....the desert is 14 inches
