Kickstart Retaining Nut

Sorry. May seem stupid, but.....
Just went for a ride and when a came back and was washing the bike I noticed the nut/washer that retains the kickstart (on spline shaft) was missing! Thank goodness the lever was still there, loose, but still on bike.
Just wondering if anyone knows the exact size of this nut?
Live a little way from town and don't really want to go and buy 10 different sizes/thread and have them turn out to be wrong. Nearby dealer was usuless over the phone and not willing to help.
If any one can provide the size of that nut, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance

Happened to my brother... I guess it is a fairly standard size for bikes but check the microfiche on bike bandit... should give the size...

Same thing happened to me. I just took the bike to the NAPA store and they let me try a few nuts till I found one that fit. Then they gave it to me. Not sure about the business model, but it got me going.

If you invited them over to see your big everclear and maui bowl... that would do it.

Thanks guys.
Sounds like a common thing.
Checked Bike Bandit, only had the part number (92015) and not the size.
Guess gotta go buy a handful of nuts......doesn't sound right does it....Maybe I'll get the wife to get a handful of nuts......
Thanks again

I don't know that they are the same, but the nut on my 92 looks to be a 11mm thread with a 1.25 pitch
eh fiche shows different part numbers
But fiche does say 12mm for an H
92015-1958
NUT,12MM

I'll measure tonight as I put some loctite on the nut. Let you know...
11 mm thread is quite unlikely.

and you know this how? ?
My 12 mm tap was too big
My 10 mm tap was too small
I only have a 11mm 1.5 tap which has an incorrect pitch but it seems to be the correct size

Once your brother finds that kicker you better get your nuts back quick

And see... I carefully worded it so this wouldn't happen!

Fair enough. I've just never seen a M11 nut or bolt in any catalogues. i suppose it's possible.
just to confirm I'm not shooting in the dark - Fastenal.com doesn't have any M11

I went to a fastener shop when mine fell off and found 1 bit it was wider then stock. The sizw was 12mm by 1.25 which was hard for me to find I went to 3 different stores in the seattle area until I found it.. Also bike bandit sells them for .66 cents but shipping is like 3 dollars

I think you're just too concerned about my pivot bolt.
